Dividends & buybacks

ICG Enterprise Trust (ICGT) returns capital to shareholders through a combination of dividends and share buybacks.

ICGT is able to realise (sell or exit) investments in businesses within its portfolio without liability to corporation tax on gains.

This tax status limits the income ICGT can retain to 15% of its income in any accounting period. Any income beyond this level is either declared as dividends or used to fund share buybacks.

ICG Enterprise Trust is committed to dividends growing progressively, subject to sufficient distributable reserves.

Since October 2022 ICGT has had a long-term share buyback policy in place.

In addition, in May 2024 an opportunistic buyback programme was launched.
